FOR those who have always wanted to dance, now is the time to start.
Dance is a great way to get fit, improve your self-confidence, meet new people and further develop your coordination. At Kallista Dance Academy it is possible to achieve all this in a fun and friendly environment.
Kallista Dance Academy is owned and run by Helen Spurr and offers classes in tap, jazz/funk/hip hop, classical ballet (Royal Academy of Dance accredited) and VCE dance for both boys and girls. The focus of the classes is to have fun, enjoy and do your best, while at the same time achieving the planned syllabus and performance work.
The ages of the students at Kallista Dance range from three years to adults. The classes are structured so that students are dancing with students of their own age and ability.
Junior levels are offered combined tap, jazz, and ballet classes so that students get a feel for each style. As they get older the classes are split so they can concentrate on the styles they prefer.
Throughout the year the students have many opportunities to show their talents – mid year display, competitions, ballet exams, the end of year concert, and some community performances.
The academy hires the costumes needed, so there is no stress to have to sew new costumes.
The Kallista Dance Academy studio is located at 18 Main Street, Monbulk. For further information phone the academy on 9894 3265.
