The team from BMR Interiors celebrates winning the Gembrook-Cockatoo Football Club’s annual golf day fundraiser.GEMBROOK-Cockatoo Football Club has had its first big win of the season at its latest pre-season fundraiser with more than $4,000 raised.
The annual golf day fundraiser was recently held at Berwick Montuna Golf Course, with the team’s major sponsor, Hankook Tyres, providing prizes for all the winners of the Ambrose style competition.
The day included an 18-hole round of golf plus a cooked breakfast and lunch.
The rain held off long enough for all participants to enjoy a breakfast of bacon and eggs in the car park.
Players then attacked the course with confidence with great conditions making for a fantastic day of golf.
It soon became a battle between the boys from BMR Interiors with Ray Robertson’s group.
However it was BMR Interiors who took out the winning shot.
The golf day was just one of many fundraisers that the club will hold this season.
