TRAFFIC was diverted for more than two hours after a van and truck collided on MonbulkEmerald Road last Wednesday afternoon.
Cardinia Traffic Management Unit’s Senior Constable Colin Davies said the collision occurred shortly after 3pm.
Police said the two vehicles were heading in opposite directions when the collision occurred.
Emergency services were called to the scene, where the van driver had to be cut from his vehicle.
Sen Const Davies said that the driver of the van was transported to Dandenong Hospital with series injuries.
He said the truck driver was unharmed in the collision.
Pakenham police and Cardinia TMU are investigating the incident.
