THE South Dragons are all set to take their new season ‘Back to the ‘Burbs’ program to Knox Basketball Stadium on Tuesday 20 November.
The hottest NBL team in town will show basketball fans just what it takes to be a professional player as they leave it out on court – and you’re invited!
Led by player-coach Shane Heal, the Crazy John’s South Dragons will complete a full training session before opening up the floor to junior fans for autographs and photographs with all their favourite players.
This is one event not to be missed!
“Back to the ‘Burbs is about connecting with the thousands of kids who regularly play the game around Victoria,” Crazy John’s South Dragons basketball development coach Michele Timms said.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for the stars of tomorrow to meet the stars of today. As a club we pride ourselves on accessibility and ‘Back to the ‘Burbs’ is a fantastic example of this.
“The main focus of the visit is for young players to have the opportunity to meet and interact with their heroes face-to-face.
“Local coaches also have a special opportunity to talk one-on-one with the Dragons’ coaching staff – coaches get to work on their game as well.”
The training session will be held at the Knox Basketball Stadium, Park Crescent, Boronia from 3pm to 5.30pm on Tuesday 20 November.
