THIRD Age Australia, the owner of Tarralla Retirement Village in Croydon, has been hard at work for the past year constructing a new aged care facility in Jackson Street, adjacent to the existing Tarralla Retirement Village.
This new, Commonwealth funded aged care facility will provide much needed additional residential care for the frail elderly residents of Maroondah.
Tony Lear, director of Third Age Australia, said that the final finishing touches were being applied to the building and that it was hoped that the first permanent residents would be able to move in early in December.
He also said that the timing of the opening would provide a good opportunity for the facility to provide short-term respite for those needing care over the Christmas holiday season.
Mr Lear said, “We have a very competent and capable team in place to manage Tarralla, including Susan Rennie, our facility manager and Nicholas Wirubov, admissions manager, who may be contacted on 9723 8029.”
