FOOTHILLS children will have an excuse to get their hands dirty this summer – pottery classes.
The Ferntree Gully Community Arts Centre is offering a number of children’s pottery classes in 2008.
The classes will be run throughout the January school holidays and each session is for half an hour on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays from 10am to 11.30am or 1pm to 2.30pm.
Children can be creative and make a pinch pot teddy bear, decorate a flowerpot or try their hand at the pottery wheel.
The classes cost $11.90 per session, which includes the cost of materials.
Foothills community groups and organisations can also take the opportunity to be creative this summer with classes ranging from pottery, wheel potter, ceramic painting, and oil painting to stop motion animation.
The arts centre also has a number of exciting classes in 2008 including catering for everyday cooks.
