THE Gully Market has to be one of the longest running markets in Victoria having been established for more than 37 years.
It does not claim to be the biggest but for value and friendly service it is up there with the best of them.
It is an outdoor market and is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 4.30pm. It also has wheelchair access.
The market offers a wide range of goods from craft, wood, pottery, garden ornaments, plants and ferns to tools, cakes, fruit/vegetables, jams/preserves, and a hairdresser.
“Come and see for yourself what else we have and enjoy a snack from one of our food stalls,” said market organiser Keith McConchie.
The market is situated in the car park of the Upper Ferntree Gully Railway Station, next to the Tourist Information Centre on Burwood Highway.
It is an easy drive east of Melbourne approaching the ever popular Dandenong Ranges.
There is plenty of free parking next to the market.
Some vacancies exist for selected stall holders, so anyone interested can contact Keith on 0417 599 466.
