TECOMA meditation teacher Jarek Czechowicz will next week lead workshops at Australia’s first major meditation conference.
Mr Czechowicz will present a workshop and a musical performance at the Meditate 08 festival, which will be held at the Melbourne Museum on 22 June.
The conference is open to the public and has a focus on health and wellbeing.
It will include meditation-related research and musical performances.
Organisers hope that the conference will raise awareness among health care professionals and the public about the benefits of meditation.
“Australia’s leading meditation teachers include doctors, musicians, psychologists and swamis, who all present a wealth of insight in to the practice,” Mr Czechowicz said.
“The conference offers nine workshops throughout the day that are free of charge, so everyone can benefit from this event.”
Anyone who would like more information on local meditation programs can contact Mr Czechowicz on 9754 8741.
