IT’S time to trade in the cricket bat for tennis racquets with the beginning of the 2008 season.
To kick-start another fabulous year of tennis, hills people are invited to try out their racquet skills at an open day.
The Upwey-Tecoma Tennis Club is holding an open day on Saturday 5 April.
The day is aimed at attracting more members and making the club more accessible to the local community.
This fantastic fun day of tennis will also provide local sports stars with the chance to become involved in a family orientated club.
There will be something for everyone from free coaching clinics with club coach Grant Kendall, to the fastest serve competition, plus heaps of giveaways.
Those who join up on Saturday will also receive discounts on special membership deals.
Hills youngsters of all ages and abilities are urged to join the club with lots of membership deals on offer.
Tennis racquets will be available on the day, so hills people should strap on a pair of runners and join in a great morning of tennis.
This fabulous morning of tennis will be held from 10am to noon at the Upwey-Tecoma Tennis Club, Alexander Avenue, Upwey.
For more information about the club or the open day call Grant Kendall on 0414 584 610.
