THE soulful sounds of African music will be a night not to be missed at the Knox Community Arts Centre.
Jali Buba Kuyateh will captivate audiences as he takes centre stage with his high-energy performance on Thursday, 16 August at 8pm.
His performances are a unique blend of traditional African storytelling mixed with reggae, salsa, jazz and blues music.
Featuring the brilliant sounds of his 22-stringed instrument, the Kora, Jali Buba Kuyateh will serenade audiences.
This Gambian born musician comes from a long line of performers who also play the Kora and sing and dance.
Jali Buba has played the Kora since he was 10 years old and is now renowned for keeping audiences captivated.
He will not only serenade with his voice and the Kora but will also entertain with his dancing.
The Jali Buba Kuyateh show is not to be missed at the Knox Community Art Centre on the corner of Mountain Highway and Scoresby Road, Bayswater.
Tickets are now on sale and cost $27 for adults, $21.50 for concession cardholders and $16.50 for students.
