POLICE have recovered a collection of logo badges removed from cars parked at the Belgrave train station on the afternoon of Saturday, 13 January.
Senior Constable Richard Blackwood of the Belgrave Police reported that the badges were found in the possession of two 13-year-old boys travelling on the Belgrave train line later that evening.
Police say they responded to a disturbance caused by the pair in one of the train’s carriages, only to be informed by a witness that the teenagers had been bragging about the haul of 24 badges.
The two youths, from Upwey and Cockatoo, have been charged on summons.
Police are asking that victims of this crime contact the Belgrave police station to recover their stolen badges.
