AUSTRALIA’S favourite duo Frencham Smith will serenade folk enthusiasts with their magical tones on Friday night at the Ranges Burrinja Folk Club.
This unique pair combines Liz Frencham’s voice with internationally acclaimed songwriter Fred Smith.
They will take centre stage at the Burrinja Gallery Café, 351 Glenfern Road, Upwey from 8pm on Friday 31 October.
Frencham is an experienced session double-bassist who graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium in 1998 and has been working as a full-time musician ever since.
She is renowned for her warm and exuberant performances with Jigzag and of course as the other half of Frencham Smith.
Smith is one of the country’s most respected songwriters.
He is renowned for presenting his material with an engaging humour and a wry smile that has won the hearts of many at festivals across Australia and North America.
Frencham Smith first started entertaining the crowds with their unique collaboration at the National Folk Festival in April 2002. Since then the pair has released two albums, Into My Room and Lovethongs, to critical acclaim.
Smith’s under-stated guitar and vocals are the perfect mix with Frencham’s warm tones. Frencham Smith has joined together again for a tour across Australia.
