COCKATOO Montessori School has undergone renovations with $70,000 of federal funds.
The money paid for the removal of dangerous vegetation, replacement of barbed wire fencing, a ramp for people with disabilities, stairs and decking area and relocation of the school office.
Reading is now easier after an extension of the school library.
As part of the renovations, a wall was removed to create a bigger library space for the students.
School business manager Selina Grimes said the renovations had been a long time coming.
