COCKATOO residents can enjoy a snag for a good cause on Saturday.
The Bendigo Bank is throwing a community Christmas barbecue bash to raise money for the town’s fire brigade.
The bash will start at 9am and run until noon at the Cockatoo CFA, Pakenham Road.
Locals will be asked to donate a gold coin for every sausage or can of soft drink consumed.
Traders have also assisted with the day, purchasing bread, sauces and refreshments.
Santa’s helper may even pay a visit to all those kids who have been on their best behaviour this year.
