Go Karting – a great family day out.Go Karting – a great family day out.

LE MANS Go Karts in Dandenong South promises thrills for anyone, from beginners to more advanced drivers.
The race venue was established in 1990 and was upgraded to a three-track complex in 2006.
The “Lakeside” and “Le Mans” tracks were designed with the help of interstate and international racing stars and experts.
They provide high-speed straights, and both sweeping and tight bends.
The “Daytona” track was built to cater for riders between four and nine years of age and provides children with the chance to experience go karting in a controlled environment.
Michael Drew of Le Mans said the complex was now the only one of its kind in Australia with the capacity to have 50 karts racing at one time, but a lot of people didn’t realise it was a public track.
Everyone was welcome to experience the thrill of go karting, he said.
“Just 10 minutes of track time will give you up to 15 laps of the course.”
Le Mans used German-made karts endorsed by Ralph Schumacher which could reach speeds of up to 80 km/h, Mr Drew said.
Le Mans is open during the Christmas and summer holidays from Sunday to Thursday 10am to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 11.30pm.
Le Mans Go Karts is at 11-55 Waterview Close, Dandenong South. Call 8787 8741 for more information.
