FERNTREE Gully Library re-opened last week following an $80,000 upgrade.
Improvements to the Burwood Highway centre included new lounge, customer service and entry areas, new furniture, televisions, children’s computers, games consoles and better internet access.
Knox councillor and Eastern Regional Libraries chair Adam Gill welcomed the council upgrade.
“We want to bring libraries into line with community expectations while making sure they meet current and future demands,” he said.
