Eat up some bistro talent

EVERY Saturday night patrons who go along to the Monbulk Heritage Bistro not only enjoy a great meal and the best bar prices in town, but are entertained by some of the great local talent.
Artists are varied each week and include Cyril Moran who is an award-winning Irish singer. Cyril also plays with his three-piece band “Tin Man’s Heart”.
The Heritage Bistro also presents Mark Fenby singing covers and playing his guitar and Lesley McMillan who covers several eras depending on the patrons present that night.
The entertainers have fantastic voices and set a very pleasant mood for everyone’s dining experience.
Some of the younger singers in the area are also featured in the bistro and include Luke Shearer and his guitar, and local duo Counterpoint. Both these acts are very entertaining throughout the evening.
Also appearing at the bistro is new artist Andy Marshall who delivers good covers to a range of styles and popular singers.
The bistro has a wide and varied menu that caters for all tastes as well as a kids’ menu.
Low-cost parma nights are on Wednesdays and offer crumbed chicken or veal schnitzel with a choice of topping.
Parmigiana is topped with shaved ham, tomato napoli and mozzarella cheese; Tropicana with ham, pineapple and cheese; Chilli Beef with spicy meat and tomato sauce and cheese; Matriciana with bacon, spanish onion, peppers, tomato napoli and basil; Mushroom with creamy mushroom sauce.
Thursday nights are Seniors nights with a choice of main meal and one dessert for only $15.50.
Fish’n Chips feature on Friday nights with battered whiting, golden calamari and prawn cutlets served with chips and salad. The meal includes a free beer, wine or soft drink.
Sunday Roast at $17.50 is also a very popular night. Patrons enjoy a weekly choice of their favourite roast served with seasonal vegetables with a free beer, wine or soft drink.
Warm and friendly staff are only too happy to help with free tea and coffee and assist patrons wherever needed in the gaming area.
The Heritage Bistro is at the Monbulk Bowling Club at 11 Moores Road Monbulk.
