TIME is running out for runners to join this year’s Puffing Billy Great Train Race.
Those in training for the race should register now before applications reach the cap limit of 3000 entrants.
This restriction was brought in last year because of safety concerns with the number of runners increasing each year.
Although the race is not until May, entrants should get in quick before it’s too late with the first 3000 making the cut.
Runners both young and old will put their fitness to the test on Sunday 3 May when they take up the challenge to race Puffing Billy in the gruelling 13.2km run from Belgrave to Gembrook. The railway has set up a dedicated online register to provide a quick and easy way to join the race.
Entries opened last week and can now be made by logging onto www.puffingbilly.com.au
