The D.J. Strachan semi-finals were reduced to one day of play due to the rainy weekend.
Woori Yallock batted first and were dismissed for 127, no doubt missing Andrew Sharp who could not play due to an injury. Paul Broussard held the innings together for a while, compiling 41.
Aaron Booth took 5 for 15 for Mt Evelyn assisted by Chris Anderson with 5 for 44.
The run chase was then on as Mt Evelyn needed to pass the 127 before time and or weather intervened or of course the loss of wickets caused them to be dismissed, at one stage they were 4 for 50 in the chase but were still confident with Kane Jones still at the crease.
In the end Kane Jones steered his team to victory by scoring an undefeated 81 with MtEvelyn being 5 for 129 and gaining a place in the final starting Saturday.
