PEOPLE across the hills banded together to celebrate Australia’s national day last Tuesday, 26 January.
The Mail was at Belgrave’s Cameo Outdoor Theatre for the town’s Survival Day festival to celebrate indigenous culture.
Singer-songwriter Judith Durham and Kutcha Edwards performed a contemporary version of the Australian National Anthem, written in the spirit of reconciliation. Almost 200 people attended an Australia Day breakfast and awards presentation at Cockatoo’s Alma Treloar Reserve. The Mail was there to capture all the fun.
