Support grows for bio-dynamic

FRED and Troy Eder opened Kallista Bio-Dynamic Market six years ago after their regular stall at the village’s weekend community market attracted a following.
“People were coming over to us saying they wanted organic and bio-dynamic produce throughout the week, so we opened the shop to keep up with the demand,” Fred said.
The father and son team run their own bio-dynamic farm and specialise in certified organic and bio-dynamic fresh produce at affordable prices. Their shop stocks an impressive range of fresh fruit and vegetables – many sourced from local producers – as well as dried goods such as pasta, grains, rices and crushed peanuts.
Free-range poultry and meats, dairy products and gourmet cheeses are also on the menu.
Fred and Troy also stock an extensive range of vitamin supplements from well-known brands.
“We aim to make our produce as affordable as possible,” Fred said. “Some of our produce is less expensive than conventional supermarket products.”
Shoppers can also buy in bulk for even greater savings.
The market is located at 77 Monbulk Road, Kallista, and is open 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 6pm Thursday and Friday, and 9am to 2pm Saturday.
