MONBULK Aquatic Centre is committed to the community.
Centre manager Helen Hostettler said the pool had been a fixture of the town for about 40 years.
The centre offers aquatic education, children’s birthday parties, water aerobics, older adult group fitness classes, group fitness classes, limited child care, boot camp and personal training.
It has a fully equipped gym, qualified gym staff and merchandise such as ladies’ and men’s bathers, gym wear, swimming goggles, caps and ear plugs.
“Gift vouchers are also available for a whole range of products,” Ms Hostettler said.
“Memberships can be purchased for as little as three months.”
Ms Hostettler said Monbulk Aquatic Centre was an accredited Austswim site.
“Meaning we operate under their guidelines, which include items such as all our swimming teachers are qualified,” she said.
“Our greatest asset is our staff who are all qualified in their specific areas, such as gym and swimming lessons.”
Ms Hostettler has been a qualified swim teacher for more than 20 years and has worked at Monbulk Aquatic Centre since 1993.
“Our centre is committed to the community it services,” she said.
“We welcome both members and casual users and would love assisting people reach their personal goals.
“We are unique in that we service the people on the mountain who do not want to travel far for their family’s aquatic and gym needs.”
The centre has won an excellent award for its commitment to the community in helping to raise money for two boys whose mother died in a tragic accident in 2008.
Two staff members have also won Emerald Rotary business awards.
