AN ALL-STAR line-up will donate musical talents on Saturday to help raise cash for Emerald’s palliative care unit Fernlea House.
The unit has joined forces with Selby Folk Club to put on this night of non-stop entertainment.
The Patch’s Tracey Roberts will enthral the crowd alongside singer-songwriter Riley Jordan with her unique rhythms and harmonies.
Blues man Leigh Sloggett and his lap slide guitar will serenade the crowd with the help of other acts including The Creaky Joins and a’Capella group the Welcome singers.
The musicians have offered their services free of charge and use of the venue, the Tecoma Uniting Church, has also been donated.
All cash raised from the night will go towards keeping Fernlea House open for people suffering with terminal illnesses.
This comes 12 months after the palliative care unit was given a last-minute reprieve to stay open following months of campaigning for Federal Government support. As Fernlea House prepared to close its doors in May last year, it received a $479,000 cash boost under the National Respite for Carers Program.
This night of entertainment will be held at Tecoma Uniting Church, Main Street, Tecoma, from 7.30pm on Saturday 5 June. Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $15.
