MONBULK’S regional soccer centre could soon get the green light, following a $309,000 cash boost.
The money was announced last week as part of the Yarra Ranges Council draft 2010-11 budget. The council has also promised to inject a further $4.3 million into the $6 million project over the next two years.
But the proposed regional centre, which will include four pitches, is heavily dependant on state and Federal Government money. Chandler Ward councillor Graham Warren said the cash was a step forward.
