UPPER Ferntree Gully Football Club hopes a dream AFL experience will send team spirit soaring.
The Under 14s were recently runners up in the Fly With the Pies contest, winning a training session with a Collingwood Football Club assistant coach.
The prize will brighten a difficult season for the side, which has struggled to win matches after this year moving up from C Grade to B Grade.
Team manager Wendy Turner sent in the 50-word entry that helped clinch the reward.
“To have a positive at the club would be great,” she said.
Ms Turner said the skills clinic would give the kids a few match and training tips and boost their self esteem.
She said the side’s two new coaches, Tim Edwards and Vin Nelson, were also looking forward to the session and hoped to pick up a pointer or two.
