Shots fired at MP’s house

A FORMER Casey Mayor’s house was sprayed with bullets last month over a $5000 drug debt owed by her eldest son, a court has heard.
Metropolitan media reports claimed that Lorraine Wreford, sitting Mordialloc Liberal MP and Berwick resident, had been left “genuinely frightened” since the ordeal on 5 July.
She has taken leave and is now overseas, but is expected to return to Australia in time for the resumption of Parliament on 16 August.
It is believed that, due to wild weather on the night, Ms Wreford was unaware of the attack at the time.
The damage was discovered the next day, with a total of about eight small calibre bullets having hit her house and car.
