STUDENTS in the Yarra Ranges are set to benefit when one of Australia’s best choreographers takes on the role of dance director in this year’s State Schools Spectacular.
Kelley Abbey, who has worked on the Australian and American version of So You Think You Can Dance, Happy Feet and stage shows such as Boy from Oz, Fame and Footloose the Musical, will be leading the event.
The State Schools Spectacular will feature almost 3000 students from primary and secondary schools around the state on stage and behind the scenes.
There will be two performances at Hisense Arena on 8 September in front of about 18,000 people.
