MOUNT Evelyn residents have again expressed their concerns on the Wray Crescent pedestrian lights and are urging Yarra Ranges Council to get them turn on.
Resident Rebecca Pool feared for the safety of those using the crossing with the lights still off.
“You have to take your life in your hands sometimes to cross,” she said.
Director environment and engineering Mark Varmalis said the council is working to get the problem fixed.
“Council has submitted the relevant information required by SP Ausnet and AGL to connect the lights to power,” he said.
“We are working with both companies to have the pedestrian lights turned on as soon as possible.”
