BELGRAVE police have arrested a man following an alleged assault on a taxi driver in Upwey on Monday 10 September.
They arrested a 20-year-old Upwey man about 6pm on Friday 14 September and interviewed him in relation to the incident.
They released him pending summons.
The taxi driver was treated in hospital for facial injuries.
In other police news, Emerald officers arrested and interviewed five men found with machetes and hunting knives in Cardinia Reservoir over the weekend.
Senior Constable Brett Hore said police believed the men were hunting within the catchment site and charges were pending. The men were not local.
Sen Const Hore discouraged others from entering the catchment and encouraged locals to report any people or vehicles within the reservoir to Emerald police on 5968 4422.
