MONTROSE firefighters will be doing their bit this good Friday as they rattle tins for the Good Friday Appeal.
Motorists and pedestrians who pass by the Canterbury Road and Mount Dandenong Road intersection are urged to dig deep and donate what they can for the cause.
Volunteer firefighter Sally Conner said the public was very giving in previous years and hoped this year would be just as good.
“We had quite a few people give big notes, so it’s usually pretty good,” she said.
“Hopefully we raise even more money this year.”
Firefighters will be at the intersection from 8.30am to 2pm.
