Protesters raise the roof

By EMMA SUN

ANTI-MCDONALD’S supporters have taken to the roof of the old Saffron Cottage building in Tecoma to stage their protest.
Despite fences currently being erected around the property, four people have been camping out on the rooftop since Monday morning and dozens of others are lined up at the site with banners and placards.
More than 20 police officers were present, along with security guards, who police say will man the site 24 hours a day.
No Maccas in the Dandenong Ranges media liaison Jo McMahon said the group would continue its “peaceful protest” for as long as it took to get the message across to McDonald’s.
