WHEN diagnosed with terminal cancer, there’s not much to look forward to.
But for one mother of three battling the illness, the Lilydale community has come together to raise money so she can create some new memories with her family.
Tracey Clarke was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer 18 months ago and, despite her never give up spirit, she was told the cancer had spread to her brain less than a month ago.
Her friend Belinda Fletcher got to work getting a team of mums together to organise a fundraiser.
“We just wanted to do something to help,” Ms Fletcher said.
“Something to make her life easier.”
Ms Fletcher said a fundraiser, held tonight, will make things financially easier for Ms Clarke and her family.
“I said to her that we could be adults and pay bills,” she said.
“Or she could spend the money making memories.”
Those who attend will have the chance to take part in silent auctions and raffles, prizes include a helicopter flight and even tickets to see One Direction in concert.
The event, starting at 7pm, will be held at Fergussons Winery in Dixons Creek.
Tickets are still available, only $50 each.
