YARRA Ranges residents interested in learning about the ins and outs of comics are encouraged to take part in a graphic novel workshop at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum.
Offered as part of the Emerging Writers’ Festival, the workshop brings graphic stories to life through Melbourne based comic artist and illustrator Mandy Ord, who will demonstrate and teach the specific tools and methods used to explore the language of comics.
Ms Ord’s stories have appeared in a broad range of local and international literary journals, newspapers, books and anthologies, so it promises to be a fun and hands-on event.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 25 September at 1.30pm for children aged 12 to 16 years and at 4pm for those over 16 years old.
Each session costs $15.
