Run and hit
TWO youths have been arrested after their vehicle collided with a police car when they tried to avoid being pulled over.
Police attempted to intercept the pair last Tuesday at about noon in Belgrave when they drove off.
They were arrested after a short chase, ending when they struck the police car.
The 19-year-old driver from Drouin was charged by Yarra Ranges CIU for serious driving matters and a Dunbalk man in his 20s was questioned.

Police get their man
A MAN who has been wanted by police for the past two months for burglaries and property related crime has been arrested.
The 36-year-old Kilsyth man was arrested last Friday morning for crimes across the Yarra Ranges and Maroondah.
He has been remanded in custody to face the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on burglary and theft charges.
Police said five thefts occurred over last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights around the Warrawee Road, Oak Road and Sycamore Road area.

Tresspassing teens
SIX youths were arrested last Tuesday morning after trespassing on the old Monbulk preschool building.
Police nabbed the teens at about 8.30am, who were in possession of cannabis.
A 18-year-old Monbulk man was charged with possessing cannabis and trespass.
Two 15-year-old Monbulk boys were charged with possessing cannabis and trespass and were bailed to the Ringwood Children’s Court.
A 17-year-old Lilydale girl was cautioned in relation to trespass and two 15-year-olds from Monbulk and The Patch were cautioned for trespass.

Joint burgled
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Monbulk butcher was broken into last Thursday.
The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 6am, and electronic scales, a Cryovac machine and bags were stolen.
