DO your kids love fire engines? Or do you ever wonder what your local CFA gets up to?
The Olinda CFA is holding their annual open day for CFA Sunday on 24 November.
Brigade secretary Elissa Jans said the open day was an opportunity for locals and visitors to the area to have a look inside the station and see what it was that the local fire fighting volunteers got up to, as well as letting the kids get a photo with a fire truck and a free barbecue.
“We just want people to come in and say hello and meet the members,” she said.
The day is a great opportunity to ask any questions about your own fire plans before the fire season hits.
CFA Sunday will be held at Olinda from 10am to 2pm.
It will be run by many stations in the Dandenongs and Yarra Ranges, check with your local brigade to see if they are taking part in the event.
