Brigade open day

IT’S time to discover the Ferntree Gully CFA.
In line with the Ferntree Gully Village Discovery Day, the fire brigade will open their station to the public on Saturday 30 November.
Captain Seamus Smith said combining their open day with the Discovery Day meant that people attending the festival and those already in town could pop in to seek advice for their fire plan or to see the inner workings of a fire station.
CFA community engagement co-ordinator Graham Crichton said that it was important in the lead up to the fire station that the community made themselves aware of local firefighters and the fire brigade.
“We have a wealth of knowledge that the community can learn from,” Mr Crichton said.
“Now is the time to get planning for the fire season – and we’ll be here to give advice and have a chat.”
