Sun shines on record breakers

AFTER a week of cold and rain, some warm sunshine greeted the Yarra Ranges Athletes on Saturday morning.
It was ‘bring a friend day’ too so plenty of enthusiastic, excited athletes made the most of the conditions.
None more so than Molly Dixon and Georgia Laven with both girls breaking respective 100 meter age group records.
Molly taking over five seconds off the record was the performance of the day.
The seniors competed at round three of the AV shield competition on Saturday afternoon at Ringwood.
It was another great turnout from the athletes that saw some outstanding performances.
Standouts were Ken Taylor and Lateisha Willis in the 100 meters, Lachlan Scully and Amanda Branson in the 1500 meters and Courtney DiGregorio in discus.
Entries for the EMR Region relays on 1 December have closed.
Team lists will be available next weekend.
The new range of tracksuits and apparel on yarrarangesathletics.org.au or at the canteen on Wednesday and Saturday.
Orders are being taken now so get in quick, initial orders close next weekend.
Full results can be found at yarrarangesathletics.org.au.
