EMERALD under-12s had well and truly earned their place in the DRJFL grand final – coming up from fourth position – but Wesburn was just too strong on the day
Emerald coach Craig Siwes congratulated the team on a great run of 11 wins to get a grand final berth, including a win over Wesburn in the last home-and-away game. “We’ll have another go next year,” he told the team.
Best opposition player went to No. 11, Oscar Miles.
The final scores were 5.6 (36) Wesburn to Emerald’s 3.5 (23).
