Poets – pen a winner

THE PAVE Festival (Performing And Visual arts in Emerald) is proud to work in collaboration with Woorilla Magazine to restore the prestigious Woorilla Poetry Prize.
The PAVE festival, now in its 10th year, offers many possibilities to become involved in participatory arts activities.
In 2015, the festival runs from Thursday, April 9, to Sunday the 19th, and will be advertised widely in the media, school newsletters, community radio, online and through direct-marketing to special interest groups.
Categories and relevant fees per poem are: Open Age – $8 (three entries $20), Youth – $5 (four entries $15).
Prizes are: Open Age Section ($1000) and Youth Section ($200).
To enter in the Woorilla Poetry Prize, please complete an entry form and return it along with poem/s and the relevant entry fee/s by Wednesday, 11 March.
Prizes will be awarded at the PAVE Festival Literary Day on Sunday, 19 April, at 2.30pm in Emerald.
All entrants will be invited to the Awards Event by email or mail in March.
Conditions of entry include:
* Poems must be in English, with a 50-line limit per poem.
* The piece must not have been published previously, or awarded a prize previously.
