A helping hand with health

By KATHRYN BERMINGHAM

EMERALD Village Pharmacy is proud to announce two new initiatives to complement its wide range of patient-focused services.
The SMS text reminder service means no more phone calls or waiting for prescriptions to be filled, and will prevent customers from running out of important medications. A new packing service also makes taking medication easier, more convenient and user friendly.
These add to the already extensive range of professional and health and well-being services provided at the pharmacy.
A ‘medication review’ involves a one-on-one consultation with a pharmacist, and can be provided in the store or from home.
Priding itself on personal service and helpful staff, the pharmacy is also a registered National Diabetes Supply Scheme sub-agent and offers customers blood pressure monitoring. Staff cater to all ages and can also sign statutory declarations.
As well as excellent service, the Emerald Village Pharmacy offers customers a great range of products for all your health and pharmaceutical needs. It stocks Ethical Nutrient vitamins, wound care, skincare, baby care and beauty products, jewellery and reading glasses.
Owner Louisa Lammers says that the pharmacy aims to promote health within the community.
“Our focus is to ensure that each customer is given the correct pharmaceutical advice to promote wellness and health, to constantly attain higher levels of service and to provide a caring and welcoming environment where each customer leaves with a positive outcome,” she said.
The pharmacy has served the community for over 30 years, Louisa has been involved with the Emerald Village Pharmacy for 16 years and knows the community well. Joining her is a knowledgeable and caring team with a combined experience of over 150 years in pharmacy.
For upcoming events, visit the pharmacy’s Facebook page listed as Emerald Village Pharmacy.
The store is at 8 Kilvington Drive, Emerald, and may be contacted at emeraldvillagepharmacy@nunet.com.au or 5968 3023. Opening hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 2pm Saturday, and 9.30am to 12.30pm Sunday.
