Thousands puff against train

By Peter Douglas

MORE than 3000 runners headed to Emerald over the weekend for the 34th Great Train Race. In another incredibly well-received event, Steve Kelly from North Balwyn crossed the line in 42.27s to win the event. Tarli Bird from Echuca finished in 48.55s to become the first female to cross the line. Mail photographer Greg Carrick was on-hand at the event. Did our photographer catch any happy snaps of you?
