Pilot killed in crash

By VICTORIA STONE-MEADOWS

LIGHT aircraft pilot from Mount Evelyn, Ian Cook, has been confirmed as deceased after his plane crashed at the Yarrawonga Airport on Sunday 13 March.

Other news outlets have reported Mr Cook and his passenger Vietnamese man Quoc Huong Vu, 44, were both killed on impact.

Victoria Police report the aircraft dropped to the ground at 3.35pm after it was seen circling the airport.

It is believed that weather conditions on the day were a contributing factor in the crash but details of the cause are still under investigation.

Victoria police are preparing a report for the coroner.
