TECOMA Primary School students recently received a unique insight into the Angliss Hospital.
Grades 1 and 2 students visited the hospital on Friday 18 March and were involved in numerous activities.
These included finding out how X-rays worked, testing their oxygen levels on pulse oximeters and even trying on surgical face masks and hats.
The students also found out from dietitians the value of healthy eating and also learnt the basics of physiotherapy.
Chief of Clinical and Site Operations Ben Kelly said Angliss Hospital was delighted to host the students.
“Angliss Hospital is a big part of the local community, and the pupils got great value out of the day from our committed staff,” Mr Kelly said.
“It is terrific that we can work with Tecoma Primary School to provide such an experience for their pupils.”
