SILVAN Primary School will have two professional artists working with students at the school on educational artistic programs as part of a Victorian Government Initiative.
The “Artists in Schools” program involves school communities in creative partnership projects while providing students, teachers and artists with diverse and challenging learning experiences.
The program provides funding of $10,000 for schools to engage a Victorian artist for about 20 days to work with students and teachers on a creative project in any art form.
Students Ellena and Riley are excited to work with local artists Mark Ammermann and Emma Borlan for terms three and four this school year.
To find out more about the program and Silvan Primary School, an open night has been arranged on Friday 20 May starting at 6pm.
