Night lights for 10 years

By VICTORIA STONE-MEADOWS

2016 is the 10th year the Belgrave Lantern Parade has been illuminating the hills with intricate lanterns, performances and good times for all. This year’s theme is ‘radiance’ and everyone is encouraged to make their own lanterns to light up the parade. You can join dancers Bev Houston (pictured in orange) and Janelle Miller (pictured in blue) with Renate Crow and Hannah Raisin, Ross Farnell and Lucy Beach. If you’d like to join a lantern making workshop, there are lots of different workshops on weekends at Belgrave Library over the next six weeks. All the information is on the Lantern Parade website – www.belgravelanterns.org.au. Bookings are essential. Call Belgrave Library direct on 9800 6489 to reserve your workshop places. There are also opportunities to volunteer at the parade and be part of the magic. 154335 Picture: ROB CAREW
