THE Burrinja Cultural Centre is preparing to host a two-day mega networking opportunity which is expected to attract more than 200 participants.
Now in its second year, the Fusion event will unite local artists, community groups, cultural industries and cultural organisations from six councils, which includes Yarra Ranges Shire and nearby councils Cardinia, Casey, Bass Coast, Baw Baw and South Gippsland.
The event focuses on empowering attendees to share their expertise and experiences with each other, offering participants the chance to exchange innovative ideas.
Simon Doyle, Arts Development Officer from the City of Casey said participants only need to bring their expertise and ideas.
“Through Fusion, we are hoping to nurture stronger relationships between artists, arts and cultural organisations, businesses and local government in eastern Victoria inspiring creative excellence across the region,” he said.
The event will be held on Friday, 14 October, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm (networking event), while the conference will be held on Saturday, 15 October, from 8.30am to 5pm.
To register, or for more information, visit www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/fusion or call 1300 368 333.
