YARRA RANGES ATHLETICS
The sun finally came out for a round of Saturday morning’s athletics competition.
The warmth brought out the competitive spirit in the Yarra Ranges athletes with some exceptional performances, many PBs and lots of amazing smiles.
After a very hectic start to the season, the seniors had a weekend off to prepare for next Saturday when the club hosts a round of AV Shield at its Mount Evelyn venue.
The club is looking forward to welcoming athletes from throughout Victoria to its fantastic facilities for an afternoon of interclub athletics.
There might even be a few Olympians present.
Congratulations to Georgia Laven and Tayleb Willis, who secured election in the Team Vic Athletics team with their gold medal winning performances at the Victorian All Schools track and Field Championships last weekend.
Georgia and Tayleb will compete at the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships in Adelaide in early December.
If you are interested in competing, you can enter via www.athsvic.org.au (must be before midday on Wednesday).
For more information, email av@yarrarangesathletics.org.au.
They will also need some helpers with set up, pack up or canteen. Let the club know if you are available.
The next round of Little Athletic athletics will be on Saturday morning, see you there at 8.30am.
Bring a friend, if you want!
