NBN for hills towns

NBN Co. has revealed more than 2600 homes and businesses within the Dandenong Ranges are next in line to receive its high-speed broadband service.
Parts of Emerald, Avonsleigh, Clematis and Menzies Creek are the next townships to roll off the NBN production line, joining more than 55,000 homes in the neighbouring Casey-Cardinia region.
Head of NBN Local Victoria and Tasmania, Ebony Aitken, said it represents exciting news for many in the region.
“Access to fast broadband is designed to provide a range of benefits such as improved opportunities to work from home, better access to online education tools and more options for on-demand entertainment,” she said.
Residents can find out whether they are eligible to connect by using the Check Your Address function at www.nbnco.com.au/switch
