The rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of the Belgrave Lantern Festival, with thousands of residents from the Dandenong Ranges and surrounds taking to the streets of Belgrave to show off their homemade lanterns. As usual, the 12th annual lantern parade was nothing short of dazzling. Thousands of glowing lanterns, bright lights and radiant fire-twirlers lit up the smiling, glowing faces of those who came out to celebrate. ‘Mail’ journalist Derek Schlennstedt was present to capture all the action.
