Give it to the firefighters

That dinner set you got for Christmas that’s not your style?

Take it to the Mount Evelyn Fire Brigade.

That goes for the second toaster you haven’t taken out of the box, the side table you love but don’t have the space for, and that work-out gadget you had every intention of using.

The brigade will hold its annual garage sale at its York Road station from 7am to 3pm on Saturday 13 October.

The event is its major fund-raiser and it needs donations of saleable items.

The crew can’t accept large furniture, mattresses, box televisions, clothing and shoes.

Donors can drop items at the station on Sunday mornings from 1 September, between 9am and 11am.

Call 0419 126 426 or email garagesale@mtevelyncfa.org.au to arrange for a collection of saleable items.
